    Help find Jim Gray

Jim has been lost since last Sunday night; The coast guard stopped their search on Thursday night so now only friends and volunteers are looking. There is an amazing effort going on using private planes and satellite imagery. You can help in the following ways, even if you are not in the San Francisco area:

Analyze satellite images using Amazon's mechanical Turk: http://www.mturk.com/mturk/startiterator?iteartorSearchSpec=HITGroupSearch%23T%231%2310%23-1%23T%23!requester_id!2!rO0ABXQADkEyRTlDTDlPN1hYNUFS!Reward!6!rO0ABXQABDAuMDA-!%23!NumHITs!1!%23!

    Microsoft AdCenter

I am sure you have heard how Google is making its money by they bucketloads: they sell adds.

Microsoft launched its adCenter a while ago. Today I saw a promo come by and I signed up for an account and decided to run an ad campaign for a topic about which I sometimes blog. (let me know if you see adds for my blog:-) )

I am spending $10 and we will have to wait and see how long the campaign lasts on that budget and of course how efficient it is.

    Is Microsoft going to Mars?

at Tech Ready this week one of the Keynotes was done by Cornell University scientist Squyres who is the principal investigator on the Mars missions that landed the rovers Spirit and Opportunity in January 2004.
He gave an amazing talk about the high level project management surrounding the project interlaced with amazing pictures, anecdotes.

I just ordered his book and I cant wait for it to arrive and read it.

    Where are the Microsoft Offices?

I updated my map that contains many of the Microsoft Offices in the USA. The map contains more than 50 offices at this moment in time. If you know of offices that I missed just let me know and I will add them.

You can find it here: http://local.live.com/?v=2&cid=611216EE7EB3297A!775

You can also use this as an example on how to create your own interesting maps.
